Charlotte's Premier Luxury Custom Home Builder

Peters Custom Homes is Charlotte, North Carolina's distinguished luxury custom home builder, creating architecturally significant residences across the region's most coveted neighborhoods since 2016. Founded by Nicholas Peters, the firm builds a limited number of custom homes each year, ensuring that every estate receives the personal attention, design innovation, and construction excellence that discerning families deserve.

Our portfolio spans the finest communities in the greater Charlotte area, including Myers Park, Eastover, Foxcroft, SouthPark, Ballantyne, Dilworth, Cotswold, Quail Hollow, Piper Glen, Providence Country Club, Morrocroft Estates, Seven Eagles, Carmel Park, Sedgefield, Montclaire, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, and South End. Beyond Charlotte, we build luxury custom homes in Marvin, Weddington, Waxhaw, Matthews, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, and the Lake Norman and Lake Wylie waterfront communities.

Custom Home Building Services

We offer comprehensive custom home building services including ground-up luxury construction ranging from 4,000 to over 20,000 square feet, whole-home luxury renovations, estate development, build-on-your-lot programs, and multi-generational legacy estate planning. Every project begins with a confidential consultation where we explore your vision, preferences, budget, and timeline to craft a home that reflects your family's lifestyle and aspirations.

Our design-build approach integrates architecture, interior design, and construction under one roof, eliminating the communication gaps and cost overruns that plague traditional building methods. The Peters Method is our proprietary five-phase process that guides homeowners from initial vision through move-in day, with transparent pricing, weekly progress updates, and Nicholas Peters' personal involvement at every milestone.

Neighborhoods and Communities We Serve

Charlotte's luxury real estate landscape offers remarkable diversity, from the tree-lined estates of Myers Park and the historic grandeur of Eastover to the lakefront magnificence of Lake Norman and the pastoral elegance of Marvin and Weddington. Each neighborhood presents unique opportunities for custom home design, and our deep knowledge of local building codes, lot characteristics, architectural review boards, and community covenants ensures a seamless building experience regardless of location.

For families considering Lake Norman waterfront living, we specialize in custom lakefront estates in The Point, Cornelius, Davidson, and Mooresville. Our Lake Norman portfolio showcases residences designed to maximize water views, dock access, and outdoor entertaining spaces while meeting the specific requirements of lakefront construction.

Our completed projects and construction portfolio demonstrate the breadth of our capabilities, from contemporary modern estates to classic Southern transitional homes, modern farmhouse designs, and European-inspired residences. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a project request?: It is a short structured brief: the size of home you have in mind, the architectural style you are drawn to, your investment range, the homesite or neighborhood, and when you would like to begin. It gives Nicholas Peters enough to answer you with real numbers rather than generalities.
How quickly will I hear back?: You receive an emailed confirmation the moment the request is submitted, and Nicholas Peters responds personally within one business day. Requests sent over a weekend are answered the next business morning.
Do I need to know my square footage or style yet?: No. Choose the closest range and the style that appeals most, or select the exploratory options. Many families arrive with only a neighborhood and a budget in mind, and the first conversation is where the rest takes shape.
What if I do not own the homesite yet?: That is a common and often ideal point of entry. We evaluate topography, utilities, setbacks, easements, and site-work cost before an offer is written, so the land you buy supports the home you want.
What does a custom home cost in Charlotte?: Most of our residences price between roughly $325 and $600 per square foot depending on neighborhood, specification level, and site conditions. The cost calculator on this site produces a neighborhood-specific range in a few minutes.
Is my project request confidential?: Yes. Names, homesites, plans, and budgets are never published or shared, and your details are used only to respond to this request.
