Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I schedule a consultation with Peters Custom Homes?
- Complete the inquiry form on this page or email us directly. Nicholas Peters personally reviews every inquiry and typically responds within one business day to arrange a confidential consultation at our SouthPark office or your homesite.
- What should I prepare before our first conversation?
- Bring whatever you have — a homesite address or listing, architectural plans, an investment range, and a sense of your timeline. Nothing is required. Many families begin with only a neighborhood in mind, and the first conversation is about direction rather than documents.
- Where is your office located, and do you accept walk-ins?
- Our office is located in SouthPark at 4401 Barclay Downs Drive, Suite 132, Charlotte, NC 28209. We meet by appointment only so that each consultation receives undivided attention.
- Which areas around Charlotte do you build in?
- We build custom residences and estate renovations throughout Charlotte and the surrounding communities — including Myers Park, Eastover, SouthPark, Marvin, Weddington, Waxhaw, and Lake Norman.
- Is there a minimum investment for a custom home project?
- We limit our work to 8-10 private residences each year so the founder stays personally involved. Most projects begin in the $1M range and extend well beyond, and we will tell you candidly during the first conversation whether we are the right fit.
- How quickly will I hear back after submitting the form?
- Nicholas Peters reviews inquiries personally and responds within one business day. Inquiries received over a weekend or holiday are answered the next business morning. If your timeline is urgent, note it in your message and call the office directly.
- What happens during the first consultation?
- The first meeting runs about an hour. We discuss your vision, your homesite or the neighborhoods you are considering, realistic investment ranges, and the schedule ahead. You leave with a clear view of the process and next steps, with no obligation to proceed.
- Do you take on projects if I have not purchased land yet?
- Yes. Many families engage us before buying a homesite so we can evaluate topography, utilities, setbacks, and site-work cost before an offer is written. This is one of the most valuable points at which to bring us in.
- Can we meet remotely if we are relocating to Charlotte?
- Yes. We regularly conduct first consultations by video call for families relocating from out of state, then coordinate homesite visits and walkthroughs around your travel schedule.
- Is my inquiry kept confidential?
- Yes. Client identities, homesites, and project details are never published or shared. Our public portfolio is limited to residences we are expressly permitted to show.
