Organic Modern Lake Estate — Organic Modern Luxury Floor Plan

A single-level lake residence organized on the view axis: long horizontal massing, natural stone, warm timber, and a covered water-facing terrace that becomes the primary living room nine months of the year.

Written for Lake Norman, Lake Wylie, and the private-shore parcels along the Catawba, this plan puts every principal room on the water. The primary living volume is a single low horizontal bar in board-formed concrete and rift-sawn white oak, with a 40-ft sliding glass wall to a covered terrace and infinity-edge spa.

The great room, kitchen, and dining are one continuous 60-ft space anchored by a stone fireplace and a limestone island; the ceiling steps up over the dining zone to a clerestory that pulls north light without heat gain. A study, gym, and guest suite occupy the private wing; the primary suite sits at the far end with a stone wet room open to a walled garden.

The walk-out lower level houses a wine room, media lounge, second kitchen, and two additional guest suites — designed for weekend guests who arrive and don't need to see the main house until morning coffee.

Program: Single-story principal living organized on the view axis; 40-ft sliding glass wall to covered lake terrace; Board-formed concrete + rift-sawn oak + honed limestone; Primary suite with walled garden wet room; Walk-out lower level with wine room, media, second kitchen; Two guest suites on lower level with private lake entry; Covered boat slip and shoreline stone terrace; Detached 3-car garage with EV and utility workshop.

Best for: Waterfront buyers who want the entire principal residence on one level, with maximum shoreline glazing and a lower-level guest wing.
