Tile & Stone Contractor Introductions in Charlotte

Tile & Stone Contractor Introductions in Charlotte

Peters Custom Homes provides a program to introduce Charlotte homeowners to independent contractors for specialized projects. If you are considering an update or repair involving tile or natural stone in your home, we may be able to connect you with a qualified professional.

Our program focuses on connecting homeowners with contractors who possess expertise in various tile and stone applications. Homeowners contract directly with the chosen contractor. We encourage reviewing the contractor's qualifications and discussing project specifics thoroughly.

Peters Custom Homes, Inc. provides contractor introductions through this program. You select, contract with, and pay the independent contractor directly. PCH does not perform, supervise, manage, inspect, or warrant that contractor's work under this program. Contractor acceptance, pricing, scheduling, and availability vary.

Homeowners pay Peters Custom Homes, Inc. nothing for an introduction. For referral-based projects, you pay the independent contractor directly for its work.

Considerations for Tile & Stone Projects

Tile and natural stone materials offer a diverse range of aesthetic and functional benefits, suitable for various areas within a home. Selecting the appropriate material and design for your space is a key step, as is ensuring proper installation practices. A qualified contractor can provide insight into material suitability, substrate preparation, and expected durability for your specific project.

Homeowners are responsible for engaging with the selected contractor directly to discuss all aspects of the project, including material sourcing, timelines, and payment terms. It is also advisable to confirm that any necessary permits, homeowner association approvals, or historic district reviews are obtained and that the work complies with relevant regulations.

Understanding the Scope of Work

Before commencing any tile or stone work, a thorough assessment by a contractor is generally recommended. This can involve evaluating the existing surfaces, identifying any structural or moisture-related concerns, and discussing options for materials and finishes. For projects like heated tile floors or extensive renovations, a contractor may outline potential requirements such as electrical modifications or subfloor preparation.

Homeowners should clearly communicate their expectations and any specific requirements to the contractor. This proactive approach helps ensure that the project progresses smoothly and aligns with your vision for the space. Peters Custom Homes facilitates the initial introduction, and subsequent project management and oversight are the homeowner's responsibility.

How the introduction works

Every request goes to Nicholas Peters, who reviews it and shares it with the appropriate member of our staff. For this program, please reach us only through the request form or by email at npeters@peterscustomhomes.com. If a suitable independent company may be available, we help make the initial connection. From there you and the contractor arrange the site visit, proposal, contract, schedule and payment directly. How contractor introductions work.

About this introduction program

The Home Projects & Contractor Introductions program is an introduction resource offered by Peters Custom Homes, Inc. For projects handled through this program, the homeowner independently selects and retains the service provider. Any estimate, scope of work, construction agreement, payment, change order, schedule, permit obligation, workmanship commitment, or warranty is between the homeowner and the retained provider, as applicable to their agreement and the law.

PCH's role is limited to reviewing introduction requests and facilitating initial connections. PCH does not undertake construction management, jobsite supervision, inspection, or certification of the referred work. An introduction does not guarantee a provider's availability, price, licensing status, insurance coverage, workmanship, conduct, financial condition, or suitability for a particular project. Homeowners should independently evaluate the provider and confirm the qualifications and coverage appropriate to the proposed scope.

A contractor's work on a separate PCH project does not make PCH a party to that contractor's agreement with you. A separate direct PCH construction engagement exists only if agreed in a separate written agreement. Nothing in this disclosure eliminates any duty or liability that applicable law places on PCH for its own conduct or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
