The line has broadened considerably in recent years. The Modern series addresses contemporary architecture with narrower sightlines and a fiberglass exterior, while the Ultimate line remains the workhorse for traditional and transitional homes.

Where Marvin fits in a luxury residence

The Ultimate line handles almost anything a traditional or transitional elevation asks for: true divided lites, historically credible sash profiles, deep custom sizing, and a broad exterior color range. It is a reliable default when the architecture is drawn rather than selected from a catalogue.

The Modern series is the more interesting recent development. It does not chase steel sightlines, but it delivers a convincingly contemporary profile with lower maintenance and materially lower cost than a steel system, which makes it a strong option for rear elevations and modern-leaning transitional homes.

Specification notes

Marvin's sizing flexibility is a real advantage, but it also means the shop drawings deserve careful review; confirm rough openings, mull configurations, and unit-to-unit alignment across the elevation before release.

Where a wall of glass meets traditional openings on the same house, confirm that exterior color and hardware finish match across lines. Different Marvin series do not always share identical finish palettes.
