Roof Repair in Charlotte
Roof Repair in Charlotte
A roof concern deserves a qualified evaluation of the cause, the affected materials, and the extent of any repair. Peters Custom Homes, Inc. helps review requests for introductions to independent roofing companies in the Charlotte area. The roofer you choose evaluates the property, recommends a scope, and contracts with you directly.
A stain inside the home, damaged roofing, or a concern around flashing does not identify the full problem by itself. Share the information you have, but leave diagnosis and roof access to a qualified professional.
This is not an emergency dispatch service. If there is immediate danger or a life-safety emergency, contact emergency services. For urgent property damage, contact an appropriate emergency-response provider directly.
PCH provides introductions only for this program. The independent roofing company you hire performs and is responsible for the contracted work, subject to your agreement and applicable law. PCH does not inspect, manage or warrant that work.
Homeowners pay Peters Custom Homes, Inc. nothing for an introduction. For referral-based projects, you pay the independent contractor directly for its work.
Repair or replacement?
A roofer weighs the age and overall condition of the roof, how widespread the damage is, whether matching materials are available, and whether a repair can be made watertight in a lasting way. A localized problem on a roof with plenty of life left is often a repair; widespread wear may make replacement the better investment. That judgement belongs to the roofer after an in-person evaluation.
Where roofs usually leak.
Leaks commonly start where the roof meets something else: walls, dormers, chimneys, skylights, vents and other penetrations. Flashing at these intersections directs water away, and when it is damaged, lifted or poorly integrated, water can travel some distance before it shows as a ceiling stain. The stain's location is a clue, not a diagnosis.
Compatible repairs and concealed damage.
Repair materials should be compatible with the existing roof. New shingles may not match weathered ones exactly in color, and some older products are no longer made. Once roofing is opened up, the roofer may find damaged decking or framing that wasn't visible before; ask in advance how such findings will be documented and priced.
Access, safety and protecting the grounds.
Roof work involves ladders, fall protection and debris. Please don't climb onto the roof yourself to inspect it. Ask the roofer where ladders and materials will be placed, how landscaping, gutters and outdoor surfaces will be protected, and how nails and debris will be collected afterwards.
What photos can and can't show.
Photos of a ceiling stain or a visible damaged area help describe your request, but they can't establish the cause. A roofer needs to see the roof and, where relevant, the attic in person.
Interior repairs are usually separate.
Roofing proposals often exclude interior drywall, paint and insulation repairs caused by a leak. Confirm what is included, and plan for a separate trade if needed once the roof is watertight.
What the written roofing proposal should explain.
- The cause identified and the specific repair scope.
- Materials and how they will tie into the existing roof.
- How concealed damage will be handled and priced if found.
- Protection of landscaping, gutters and exterior surfaces.
- Cleanup, including nail and debris removal.
- Payment terms and written workmanship terms.
- Any exclusions, such as interior repairs.
How the introduction works
Every request goes to Nicholas Peters, who reviews it and shares it with the appropriate member of our staff. For this program, please reach us only through the request form or by email at npeters@peterscustomhomes.com. If a suitable independent company may be available, we help make the initial connection. From there you and the contractor arrange the site visit, proposal, contract, schedule and payment directly. How contractor introductions work.

About this introduction program
The Home Projects & Contractor Introductions program is an introduction resource offered by Peters Custom Homes, Inc. For projects handled through this program, the homeowner independently selects and retains the service provider. Any estimate, scope of work, construction agreement, payment, change order, schedule, permit obligation, workmanship commitment, or warranty is between the homeowner and the retained provider, as applicable to their agreement and the law.
PCH's role is limited to reviewing introduction requests and facilitating initial connections. PCH does not undertake construction management, jobsite supervision, inspection, or certification of the referred work. An introduction does not guarantee a provider's availability, price, licensing status, insurance coverage, workmanship, conduct, financial condition, or suitability for a particular project. Homeowners should independently evaluate the provider and confirm the qualifications and coverage appropriate to the proposed scope.
A contractor's work on a separate PCH project does not make PCH a party to that contractor's agreement with you. A separate direct PCH construction engagement exists only if agreed in a separate written agreement. Nothing in this disclosure eliminates any duty or liability that applicable law places on PCH for its own conduct or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
